As a retired pastor, my wife and I have have personally seen the many benefits of laughter. It is very healthy indeed. I als watched an impressive article on the Science channel TV the other day and thye stated that laughter adds years and quality of life to you.

Diabetics and Heart Attacks

We are very familiar with diabetes. Walter, my husband, is an insulin dependent diabetic. He has had many health complications. However, so far there is not heart complications of diabetes.
